About Tony Freeman

Tony Freeman, Principal Analyst, Risk Analysis & Mitigation

Mr. Freeman joined ReliabilityFirst in 2016 and is currently responsible for risk analysis, mitigation, risk analytics, and forecasting.

Mr. Freeman brings with him a diverse background from physical security, distributed control system product development, manufacturing, implementation, information security, cyber security, data analytics, governance, risk, and compliance.

Prior to joining ReliabilityFirst, Mr. Freeman served as an LPO for the United States Navy’s Naval Expeditionary Combat Command responsible for rapid deployment of personnel in order to physically protect high valued assets and personnel worldwide.

After completing his service, Mr. Freeman became a Nuclear Energy Security Specialist responsible for the adherence and compliance of all Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) physical security standards and requirements, which included site security evaluations, security project management, security feature implementation, and security training implementation.

Additionally, Mr. Freeman brings experience from cyber security product development, security solutions architecture, contract negotiations, and as a safety advisor from his time at a distributed control system engineering firm.

Mr. Freeman spent a few additional years in the energy industry as a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Senior Analyst, responsible for Information Technology department governance, CIP program architecture & compliance adherence to the NERC CIP standards and requirements, along with corporate Information Technology department risk analysis, maturity model implementation, procedural controls, and Information Technology auditing.

Mr. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Science (BSIT) (Information Technology with a concentration in Cyber Security) from Colorado Technical University.
