About Sam Ciccone

Sam Ciccone, Principal Reliability Consultant, Entity Engagement

Mr. Ciccone started working at ReliabilityFirst in 2016.

Mr. Ciccone currently focuses on outreach and assistance to our registered entities, which includes control center certification activities, maturity model evaluations, and various other outreach and continuous improvement activities.

In the utility industry, Mr. Ciccone has worked for FirstEnergy Corp., where he was actively involved with the NERC Reliability Standards, both from a development and compliance standpoint.

Most of Mr. Ciccone’s career was in the electrical product industry, where he designed, tested, and certified low- and medium-voltage power distribution products. In that industry, his particular focus was on compliance to regulatory standards, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), as well as installation codes, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Mr. Ciccone holds an electrical engineering degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Kent State University. He is also a board member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Cleveland-Northern Ohio chapter.
